About this project

This project protects an area of over 500,000 acres of forest in its natural carbon-rich state. The Kasigau Corridor is a vital wildlife region that was losing tree cover, barren of wildlife and being overgrazed - now it is being restored, with the community sitting at the foundation of the project. By creating jobs in education, tree planting, management, and more, the Wildlife Works program has turned around the fortunes of the area for both people and wildlife, while offsetting millions of tonnes of CO₂ in the process.
